Rooted in ancient Scandinavian tradition, Joulupukki — the Yule Goat — was once a masked visitor at winter's darkest hour: sometimes mischievous, sometimes fearsome, once masked and mysterious, the original bringer of gifts on Christmas Eve. In Scandinavia, December 24th remains the main day of Christmas celebration, and the Yule Goat is part of the rich folklore surrounding it.
